​The 2024 Totalsports Women’s Race turned Emmarentia into a sea of pink as thousands of women took to the streets for a day of fun, fitness, and friendship. Whether they were gunning for a personal best or simply enjoying a leisurely jog, the atmosphere was electric.

Supportive men, decked out in blue, cheered on the pink-clad runners, adding to the vibrant energy. Along the route, entertainment stages kept spirits high, with dancers and music providing a boost to those tackling the course.

“This wasn’t just a race; it was a vibe,” said first-time participant, Thando Mosia. “We walked, we talked, we laughed, and took photos. It was amazing.”

For Olebogeng Montsho, who was sidelined by an injury, the event was a chance to cheer on her fellow runners. “I couldn’t run this year, but being here with everyone was still special. I’ll definitely be back next year.”

The finish line was a celebration, with medal-winning runners, lively music, and a sense of accomplishment filling the air. Mpilo Nkonde, a visitor from Mpumalanga, summed up the day perfectly: “It was a blast! The energy was infectious.”

The Totalsports Women’s Race is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of women’s strength, unity, and resilience. The event showcased the power of female camaraderie and left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
