The Alexandra 8th Avenue Library hosted a special Women’s Month event featuring author Ruth Mantele on 16 August 2024. Mantele launched her second book, “I Survived: The Journey Continues”, a follow-up to her powerful memoir, “I Survived: Evolved Against All Odds”.
Mantele shared her harrowing experiences as a rape survivor and her journey towards healing and forgiveness. Her message resonated deeply with attendees, offering hope and inspiration to those who have faced adversity.
Lebo Makgele, an event attendee, expressed admiration for Mantele’s courage: “Ruth’s story touched my heart. She shows us that healing and forgiveness are possible, no matter the challenges.”
Both of Mantele’s books have been donated to the library, making them accessible to the community.
This event was not just a book launch; it was a celebration of resilience and the power of forgiveness. Ruth Mantele’s story reminds us that no matter what we go through, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
