Rabie Ridge Library Observes World Disability Day With Vibrant Activities

Rabie Ridge Library, in partnership with Gauteng Province, hosted an inspiring World Disability Day celebration. The event brought together disability centres from Region A for a day filled with fun, learning, and inclusivity.

The celebration featured a variety of engaging activi​ties that catered to participants of all ages and interests. These included Fifa games on Xbox, basic computer literacy sessions, a spelling bee competition, chess, hula hoops, and much more.

Linda Mposwa, 27, one of the participants, shared her excitement: “It was a great experience to be part of this event. I learned new things and had so much fun with everyone.”

The event highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for people living with disabilities to connect, learn, and showcase their talents. Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering inclusion and building a supportive community.

Rabie Ridge Library and its partners are committed to promoting accessibility and inclusion, and this celebration was a testament to their dedication. It left a lasting impression on participants, inspiring a collective call for more events that celebrate diversity and empower all members of society.
