The Joburg Property Company (JPC), an entity of the City of Johannesburg, honoured its long-serving employees during the annual Long Service Awards at Braampark. The ceremony celebrated staff whose dedication and hard work have helped build a resilient, service-driven organisation.
Chief Executive Officer Musah Makhunga praised employees for their unwavering commitment, saying every successful JPC project is powered by people who take pride in their work. “People who show up every day — in offices, on sites, and in the field — make sure the work gets done.”
He outlined his bold vision for JPC’s future: to build a world-class property management company that serves Johannesburg with pride while empowering employees and uplifting communities.
He reaffirmed that teamwork, integrity, and excellence remain central to JPC’s mission.
“Excellence, because good enough is not good enough for Johannesburg; integrity, because public trust is sacred; and unity, because when we stand together, no challenge is too great,” he added.
The CEO also highlighted JPC’s recognition by Topco Media as a Top Gender Empowered Company and the entity’s active participation in industry platforms such as SAIBPP and SAPOA, which strengthen partnerships and leadership within the property sector.
Among the honourees was Rampuru Motla, who has served JPC for 40 years, and Venetia Ngqulana, marking five years of service. Both employees expressed gratitude for being recognised and proud to contribute to JPC’s legacy.
The event concluded with Makhunga reaffirming JPC’s commitment to employee wellbeing and inclusion, noting that continued success depends on the dedication and unity of every staff member.
