City Set to make prominent presence at the iconic rand show

This year’s Rand Show promises five days of family fun, shopping bargains and lots of prizes on offer from 6 April to 10 April 2023. The organisers have gone out of their way to ensure that the event is exciting and boasts lots of outdoor activities perfect for kids, young adults, family and friends at one of Joburg’s best-known landmarks – the Johannesburg Expo Centre at Nasrec on the corners of Nasrec and Randshow roads.

The City of Johannesburg will make its presence felt at this consumer exhibition by showcasing its Public Safety fleet, personnel and skillset in areas such as firefighting, crowd control and the tracing of drugs.

Keitumetse Letebele, the Director Communication in the City of Johannesburg’s Public Safety Department, says participating at the 2023 Rand Show goes a long way in promoting the City and its brand offering.

“We are excited to participate in this grand show. This event provides us with a bigger platform to reach an ideal audience to market the department and the City. There’s more to Public Safety in the City of Johannesburg than meets the eye and members of the public will be amazed at the work we do every day to keep them safe.”

The Rand Show organisers promise that this year’s show will be one of the most incredible events. This year’s show will also support SMMEs with R50 000 cash awarded to the most-voted SMME by visitors.

Laura Vercueil, the spokesperson for Joburg Tourism, says they are thrilled to be part of the Rand Show.

“The Rand Show has grown to be one of the most iconic exhibitions in Johannesburg and positions Joburg as a vibrant and diverse city. The focus on SMME development this year makes our participation as Joburg Tourism even more meaningful,” she adds.

The show will also feature helicopter flips, drifting, go-karting, the SANDF and advanced driving with professionals, food and drink, fun parades and activities for children to enjoy in the kids zone.

“Exciting news is that this year we will be hosting big-name local musicians who will perform throughout at no additional cost to visitors. This will certainly add to the already amazing atmosphere of the show,” says Adele Hartdegen, the CEO of the Rand Show.

Ticket range from R60 to R295 – with family packages available and discount for pensioners. Ticket purchasing and more information of the show visit: therandshow.howler.co.za  & https://randshow.co.za/
