The City of Johannesburg, under the leadership of the Executive Mayor, Councillor Dada Morero, recently conducted a comprehensive and constructive engagement with African Bank, the primary sponsor of the Soweto Marathon, and the Soweto Marathon Trust. This meeting extended into the early hours of this morning as all parties involved endeavoured to resolve the current impasse over the Soweto Marathon, affectionately known as The People’s Race.
