The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Geoffrey Makhubo together with Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) of Transport, Cllr Nonhlanhla Makhuba will officially launch the Pothole Patrol initiative, a partnership between the City, Discovery Insure and Dialdirect Insurance.
The Pothole Patrol partnership aims to manage the repair of potholes throughout Johannesburg, in a unique data-driven initiative designed to make roads safer for all residents. The initiative will be a game-changer in resolving the backlog created by the national lockdown and the scourge of potholes on Joburg roads.
The initiative will also form part of the 120 Days of accelerated service delivery that the City has recently embarked on, with potholes being one of the main issues being tackled in all 7 regions.
