The Joburg Ladies Open, co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the Sunshine Ladies Tour, commenced at the prestigious Modderfontein Golf Club on Thursday, 18 April 2024. With 120 skilled golfers vying for the championship title, the competition promises excitement over four intense days of play. This year, Spanish professional golfer Harang Lee and Moroccan professional Maha Haddioui received coveted invitations to join the tournament. Despite facing challenges in her initial round, Lee expressed gratitude for the opportunity and her enjoyment of the event. Haddioui, making her way through nine holes by 15:42, maintained a solid performance, demonstrating her skill on the course.
Tournament promoter Bongi Mokaba highlighted an innovative approach this year, as the City offered an exchange spot to the LET.
This arrangement allows the South African Order of Merit winner to participate in prestigious international tournaments, promoting development and enhancing opportunities within the sport.
As the tournament progresses into its second round on Friday, 19 April 2024, and culminates in the final on Sunday, 21 April 2024, spectators are invited to enjoy the action.

For convenient access, spectators are encouraged to use the park and ride service, with limited parking available at Modderfontein Golf Club.
