Tennis for Life Academy takes the game to next level

Tennis for Life Academy’s mission is to introduce, teach, coach, motivate, educate and inspire people to achieve maximum tennis performance and life balance. The centre came to life as youngsters trained and built stroke arsenal that will propel them to the next level.

The clinic was organised in collaboration with the City of Johannesburg’s Sport and Recreation Region B in preparation for competitions such as the upcoming mixed doubles tournament on 18 September 2022.
The clinic was intended for beginners and children under the age of 12 and it became more enjoyable for them when they used size-appropriate equipment and courts. It allowed them to get right into action from the start.
Match play coaching and strategy tips were the order of the day, enabling youngsters to outsmart their opponents. They worked hard to perfect and polish through fast-paced drills that focused on consistency and shot-making.
The coaches’ main priority for the clinic included fitness to improve agility, endurance and speed work.
“TFL Academy offers professional coaching to make tennis more enjoyable as a life sport,” said Lovemore Kadzora, the head coach of the Tennis for Life Academy.
“We motivate and provide a positive, high-quality approach. We teach our players to be honest, to play with passion and to be the best they can be. Tennis is a way of life, not just a sport,” he added.
