​The Total Sports Women’s Race Celebration held on a sunny morning on Saturday, 9 August 2023, was a spirited fun walk/run event that marked an important commemoration of women’s month. It attracted 15 000 participants of all genders who came together to support women and raise awareness about cancer. The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Kabelo Gwamanda, fired the starter’s gun and set a positive tone for the day’s festivities.

Mama Pinky /Aka Mama Pinky, a multiple cancer survivor, also participated.

The Member of the Mayoral Committee of Community Development, Cllr Lubabalo Magwentshu handed over the prizes to the winners.

Participants in the fun walk/run were driven by the spirit of unity and camaraderie.

Upon completion of the race, every participant received a well-deserved medal as a token of appreciation for their enthusiastic involvement.

Those who finished in the top positions were awarded prizes along with their medals, making their achievement even more special.
