Discover a curated range of products and services from local and international exhibitors in the hotel and hospitality industries at this year’s Hotel & Hospitality Show at the Sandton Convention Centre. Pencilled between Thursday, 18 and Saturday, 20 May, the esteemed event – currently in its sixth year – is designed to promote growth in the sector, connect brands with hospitality buyers across Africa, and encourage networking.
“Key buyers and decision makers from around the world attend, ensuring that global trends and insights combine with local vision and trends. We look forward to this year’s show where inspiration and cross-border collaborations will thrive,” says Evan Schiff, the portfolio director of dmg events, the event hosts.
The Hotel & Hospitality Show is an annual showcase of the latest trends and innovations in the hotel and hospitality industries. It brings together distributors and agents, hotels, cafes, lodge and resort representatives, product manufacturers, food service and food manufacturers, importers and exporters, restaurateurs, and other hospitality businesses to exchange ideas, network, and discover new products and services.
The event features a wide range of exhibitors from all over the continent who display their latest products and services. Attendees can also participate in conferences and workshops to learn from industry experts and stay up-to-date on the latest trends. The event is an excellent opportunity for businesses to showcase their latest products and services to potential customers and partners.
The City’s MMC for Economic Development, Cllr Nomoya Mnisi, says staging national and global conferences of this nature is significant in forging collaborations with Bid Partners to reignite business events in Johannesburg.
“Business events play a catalytic role in promoting a range of support services while at the same time bringing together an array of tourists. The Joburg Tourism Company’s MICE Support Programme is aimed at enabling the City to secure more business events and improve our competitiveness,” says MMC Mnisi.
The hotel and hospitality sector continues to show signs of resilience and growth, with positive prospects ahead. According to the 2023 Hotel and Hospitality Industry Confidence Index, participants across the continent are optimistic about the future of the industry.
Projections from Statista support this perception and confirm a projected average annual growth rate of 8.68% for the sector over the next five years, with hotel market revenue in Africa predicted to reach US$13.80 billion by 2027.
“This positive outlook on growth in the sector is high on the agenda at the upcoming Hotel & Hospitality Show,” says Schiff.
The Hotel & Hospitality Show provides a 360-degree view of the market, from challenges and opportunities to the latest innovations and sustainable ideas for the future.
The Hotel & Hospitality Show is a must-attend event for anyone involved in the hospitality industry.
Whether you’re a hotel owner, a chef, or a service provider, the event provides a platform for businesses to connect, learn, and grow their operations.
“Registrations are open to attend, and there are many exciting features this year catering to the hotel, hospitality, and design industries, including seminars, competitions, and exhibits,” Schiff explains.
