The Eldorado Park Ext 2 Library was alive with laughter and excitement as they hosted a special Easter celebration for the little learners of Beautiful Beginnings Preschool on 16 April 2025. The event aimed to foster a love of reading, creativity, and community bonding.
The morning began with a delightful storytelling session as librarians read “I Love You, Honey Bunny” by Christine Swift—a touching tale of love and friendship.
The children listened intently, giggling at the humorous moments and beaming as they related the story to their own families. Next, the little ones unleashed their creativity with an Easter-themed arts and crafts activity. Using paper plates, cotton wool, crayons, and glitter, they crafted colourful bunny face masks. The room buzzed with joy as they proudly displayed their creations and helped each other with decorations.
“I had so much fun today—I want to come back to the library!” exclaimed Michaela Feldman. Oratile Mothibe, added cheerfully: “My bunny mask is pink and blue. I’m going to take it home and show my granny!”
The event highlighted the magic of storytelling and creative play in a child’s development. It was a heartwarming day of learning, laughter, and Easter joy.
